Many of you know Melissa, Rep. Har's office manager (pictured to the right of Rep. Har). Melissa's husband is an officer in the Navy and they were transferred to Japan. The photo was taken at Melissa's staff farewell luncheon.
After the grand opening of Down to Earth in Kapolei, residents have more options to live naturally and to support local agriculture.

In Dec. 2009, Mothers Against Drunk Driving awarded Sharon at their 25th Anniversary celebration for introducing legislation that will require drunk drivers to install a vehicle ignition interlock into their cars.

Rep. Har and other elected officials break ground in July 2009 for the Kapolei Interchange. This interchange will add a new on and offramp onto the H-1 freeway behind the Kapolei movie theaters.
In April 2009, Rep. Har organized a graffiti paint out day in which over 100 volunteers came out to paint out graffiti throughout our community. Here, Rep. Har is painting out graffiti at the Kapolei Skateboard Park bathrooms.
Rep. Har nominated Margaret Pang of the Dyslexia Tutoring Center of Hawaii (formerly located in Kapolei) for the prestigious Honolulu Advertiser/KGMB Jefferson Award because of Ms. Pang's work with dyslexic students from West Oahu. Ms. Pang was chosen as one of the Jefferson Award winners.

As a member of the Finance Committee, Rep. Har and her colleagues spent many late nights attempting to balance the budget without raising the general excise tax. Here, Rep. Har and other Finance Committee members are in final deliberations with the senate on the budget.
